These are late-period recordings by the great sitar master
Ustad Vilayat Khan, recorded in the 1970s. There are two ragas -- "Raga Bageshri" played in
vilambit teentaal and
drut teentaal, and "Raga Shahana" played in
drut ektaal -- with uncredited accompaniment on sarod and tablas.
Khan was a spiritual as well as musical master and a great theorist on the unity of sound as it plays a role in the development of the individual. The sound is excellent throughout, and the price is definitely right.
