Album Review

Icon collects 12 slabs of post-grunge brutality from Missouri-based alternative metal quartet Puddle of Mudd. Front-loaded with three cuts (“Control,” “Blurry,” “She Hates Me”) from the group's hugely successful debut, Come Clean, Icon offers up a fairly decent snapshot of the band's ascension from Limp Bizkit protégés to mainstream rap-metal giants.
