Album Review

Time Life's Country U.S.A. is an excellent series spotlighting original hits from a specific year by the artists who made them famous. This volume samples 24 tracks from 1965 -- including such classics as "King of the Road" by Roger Miller, "Orange Blossom Special" by Johnny Cash, and "I've Got a Tiger by the Tail" by Buck Owens -- in addition to strong tracks by Johnny Bond ("Ten Little Bottles"), Stonewall Jackson ("I Washed My Hands in Muddy Water"), and Eddy Arnold ("What's He Doing in My World"). This enjoyable sampler will please any die-hard country fan.
