1983-85 compiles 27 early
Beat Happening tracks, spanning the trio's eponymous debut LP, the
Three Tea Breakfast EP, a handful of compilation appearances, singles, and a wealth of unreleased material. A portrait of the group at their most primitive, the fidelity is often poor, but the kinetic energy of the early sessions is palpable, and the wide-eyed charm of gems like "Look Around," "Foggy Eyes," "fourteen," and the classic "Bad Seeds" is undeniable.
