Trust is one of
Patrick O'Hearn's more popular CDs, owing mostly to its consistency. He has been able to perform -- even prosper -- in many different e-music styles. On this disc, he limits himself to two or three styles, and it works. The dark textures and overtones allow listeners to settle and get intimate with
O'Hearn's soundscapes and atmospheres. This is not scary or disturbing dark ambience. It is not psychoacoustic. It is somber. It's a good disc, and will appeal to fans of
Jonn Serrie,
John Flomer, and
Kevin Braheny.
