Perhaps it would have made sense if
Mike Heron's first album in 15 years was mediocre, since that is a very long time to be away from the business. However, that's not the case --
Where the Mystics Swim is a lovely, enchanting album that expands beautifully upon his work with the
Incredible String Band. It's more mature and relaxed than any of the ISB's work, but that's a positive thing -- it's a lovely, reflective work that lives up to his immense legacy.
