I just have a different outlook...because of my mom. She got polio when she was 2 years old.  That led to a lot of problems with her legs, hips and back throughout her life. She always told me I wasn't allowed to say the word "can't" ...because if she learned to walk 4 different times in her life...anything is possible.  "There is no choice. You have to keep moving forward". She walked with a limp.  Kids used to tease me and tell me my mom was "retarded'....just because she limped. That is probably the reason I am now fiercely  protective of the ones I love. In her later years she had problems with high blood pressure, strokes, Lupus and kidney failure. Then ...
