L.a. Guns' third album, Hollywood Vampires, shows some signs of stagnation for the Californian sleaze rock band. Although there are handful of strong songs, usually powered by greasy riffs, a fair majority of the album sounds processed, as if the band were aiming for a Top 40 crossover hit, much like Cocked & Loaded's "The Ballad of Jayne."
