Recorded live in Rome, Italy, on February 22, 1994, Xxii Mcmxciv documents what is said to be the last complete concert Nirvana ever performed, as Kurt Cobain's subsequent vocal problems (not evident here) cut short the remaining shows of their European tour. From the intro to the set opener, "Radio Friendly Unit Shifter" (a wounded take on the "Smoke on the Water" riff), it's obvious that this is a high-caliber, stereo-soundboard recording.
