Bruce Springsteen And The E Street Band To Launch 2009 Us And European Tour in April.

Before the tour, Springsteen is set to perform at Super Bowl XLIII. Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band have announced the forthcoming world tour dates:

May 7 Toronto, Ont Air Canada Centre 

 

Fledgling indie rock bands, Kiss frontman Gene Simmons wants you.

That is, assuming you are Canadian.

The legendary rocker is now soliciting electronic video demos from unsigned Canadian bands for his record label, Simmons Records.

Simmons, in partnership with Universal Music Canada, announced in November that he planned to develop and sign Canadian bands for his label.

Simmons, whose longtime romantic partner Shannon Tweed is Canadian, responded with a blog post on his label's site the same day, dismissing the "arrogance of the U.S. media" and elaborating further on his plans

We're going to find, develop, nurture and launch new talent emanating from - CANADA!!!," he wrote. "That's right, baby. Why here? Because you actually DO have the talent. And now, you have a WAY.

"ME." 

Kiefer Sutherland's stripper shock

 

Kiefer Sutherland was stunned to discover his friends had hired a stripper for his birthday.

A source told the National Enquirer magazine: "The lights dimmed and raunchy blues music blared. A nearly naked blonde bombshell slinked in the room, shoved Kiefer down on a chair and began dancing. But at the moment of truth, when Kiefer expected the stripper to remove her leopard print teddy, 'she' ripped off her wig!"

The '24' actor, whose pals threw him a surprise 42nd birthday party recently, failed to realise the scantily-clad sexy blonde giving him a lap dance wasn't a woman - until the stripper removed his wig.

Kiefer was lost for words and hastily pushed the stripper off his lap, much to the amusement of his friends.

 
The source added: "Kiefer's jaw dropped and he shoved the she-male away as his pals collapsed screaming. He looked angry for a moment, but soon regained his manners and spoke cordially to the stripper."

After the dancer had left the party, Kiefer saw the funny side and unleashed a barrage of good-tempered abuse at his friends

But Snipes will not be singing in the Godfather of Soul biopic

Wesley Snipes on track to play James Brown in a movie about his life, says director Spike Lee.

Lee revealed at the Sundance Film Festival that the project is "going to happen", but that Snipes will not be singing in the flick.

"I want to hear James Brown's voice. That's just my personal taste," Lee told MTV News. "I know Joaquin Phoenix in ‘Walk the Line', he did some of the singing. I'm a purist."
