Goodbye Quebec? Or goodbye Separatists?
So the new Quebec premier-in-waiting is Pauline Marois. Last night she led her separatist Parti Quebecois to a minority government election victory over the Liberals. The P-Q won 54 seats…that is nine short of a majority but means there will be a third sovereignty referendum. Now I know that not everyone in Quebec wants to separate from the rest of Canada. There are some very proud Canadians that have lived their whole lives in Quebec. So here’s what I suggest; I say the rest of the country has their own vote to kick the separatists out. We can give them a nice little compound in a logging village in Northern Quebec where they can live their lives completely separate from the rest of us logical people who love living here and want to get along with everyone else. Or if they don’t want to live in the cold, maybe we can strike a deal with the United States to move all the Separatists to the recently closed Guantanamo Bay…they already have accommodations there and you never know, it might be in the path of a hurricane or something. I’m all for people’s personal freedoms of expression, but it is pissing me off that we still allow these traitors to organize ways to leave our nation and we treat them like they are a chess club or something. Bottom line…if you don’t like it, leave, but leave the province of Quebec to the people who live there and love it right where it is…in Canada. Agree? Disagree? Don't care?
Balls.
