I love Canada! 

I always have.

I’ve done the evil deed though...I married an American. 

But it has made me appreciate this country even more.

As I walk around with my American love, I realize that sometimes we forget why this country is so great.

We take it for granted....

As we walk, I am constantly reminded of this country’s beauty. 

I hear things like “It’s so clean here” and “I can’t believe how friendly everyone is”.

It’s true.

I am proud when strangers smile at me in the street and say “Good morning”. 

It’s very Canadian to be nice.

Sure...there are other things I love ‘aboot’ Canada. 

No hurricanes, no shark attacks, no big earthquakes, no huge forest fires, no tsunamis (yet). 

I love that our country is pretty safe from the devastation that nature can cause.  Sure...things happen..but they are small in comparison to what happens elsewhere.

I love that we are diverse.  Not only the people but our land is also very different everywhere you go.

Every province has its own unique beauty and people.  We are a land of many lands!

And say what you want about our governments....but we ARE taken care of.  There is not a lot to worry about.

Safety is a big part of our happiness.

My favourite thing about Canada is our silent pride.

I find myself saying it all the time to my American.....

The USA wears their pride on the outside.

Canadians wear their pride in their heart....where it counts.

We wear it well.
