The S.C.E.N.E. Music Festival Is HERE
Truthfully, this is one of the most enjoyable festivals of the summer. For one ridculously low price you get a chance to check out over 150 bands. It's a chance to check out your favourites and some of the bands you've heard about. If you can go from 1pm to last call, you are an animal my friend!
It's an all ages event which is great for fans who can't see these artists who normally play in licensed clubs. Parents don't need to freek - there's loads of security and your kid will probably be safer here than shopping in downtown mall in Toronto. This festival has been going on for over a decade, organizers have scene it all and have all the bases covered.
The weather forecast for Sunday looks perfect with no rain for next 4-5 days....although rain has never really put a damper on festivals in the past. To buy your tickets in advance CLICK HERE. You can always buy your tickets on the day of the show too. They'll be on sale at Market Square at the King Street entrance.
There are maps, club and band lists with set times available but I've always used the the online scheduler where you can select the bands you want to see and it compiles a personal itinerary for the day. CLICK HERE to get started. I suggest you put together your own itinerary AND print off a full list of all the clubs and bands in case you change your mind or there are gaps in the schedule.
HTZ-FM will be broadcasting from inside Market Square with Biggs & Barr on the air from 1p-4p. It will be a great chance for you to check out The Standstills, our Rocksearch champs when they hit the Pabst Blue Ribbon stage in Market Square at 1:10p. Rocksearch finalists, MONSTER TRUCK are on the Jagermeister Stage in Market Square at 8:30p.
The Standstills will be at tent in Market Square at 3:30p to meet fans; Monster Truck will be there at 4:45p.
