The Replacement Refs have all gone and the regular crews are all back on the field for this weekend's rack of NFL games but not before one of the most contentious and memorable weeks in fooball history.

Rock has endured its own replacements too. BLACK SABBATH has had 11 lead singers with Ozzy in and out of the band FIVE times, NIRVANA had SIX drummers before settling on Dave Grohl, the RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS are on guitar player number NINE.

But when it comes to REPLACEMENT ROCKERS, nobody was  more disfunctional than VAN HALEN and it's on/off again relationship with it's 3 lead singers. The numbers are small but drama high. As we entered the new millenium it seemed nobody knew who would be singing on the next song, let alone album...not even the guys in the band.
