That's good news when it comes to Aerosmith.

Last night on Letterman was our first real chance to hear them play something new to a national audience and they did not disappoint. The smartest thing a legendary band can do is to stick to what you got you there. Their best records were made with few if any outside people and the stories we've been getting from the Aerosmith camp is that this new album (out Nov.6) is one of those. Seeing the aging Steve & Joe in hi def with their turkey necks and battered bodies was a little frightening but when they played they put all that to rest. Aerosmith are a really good band and when they "lock in", nobody can touch 'em. The song Lover A Lot may be just average but Aerosmith's performance soared.
