Dr. Feelgood was not an act ever expected to see represented in Classic Rock Productions catalog -- they were too far underground and too cool, in the company of such 1970s prog rock denizens as Caravan and folk-rockers like Steeleye Span that are more this company's usual fare. But here they are, in superb form -- at least, Lee Brilleaux's 1990 version of the group, supported by Steve Walwyn, Phil Mitchell, and Kevin Morris, videotaped in 1990. At this point the band was four years past its last studio release and doing nothing but live performances, and it shows -- this lineup ripping through more than a dozen rock & roll classics from their own repertory (including "Roxette," etc.) and standards of the genre. Read More
