Police say a human skull that was found by a hiker on the Niagara Escarpment in Hamilton last month did not belong to a missing Stoney Creek woman.
Hamilton police say forensic tests confirmed the skull is a ``prepared anatomical specimen'' and not of ``recent forensic interest.''
There was specualtion the skull belonged to 61 year old Shirley Treadwell who died in 2009.
Police say its not illegal to possess specimans such as these, they are commonly used for teaching purposes
But they still would like to know who dumped it on the escarpment.
