In spite of the recent closure of the slots in Fort Erie, the show must go on at the track.
Sunday marks the 115th season of live horse racing with a ten race card featuring close to 100 thoroughbreds.
The track has planned 58 events over the 81 day season including a three day outdoor show and a three day Food Festival.
Manager of Media and Marketing Elissa Blowe says the first big event will be the official anniversary party on June 26th.
Blowe says that's as close to the actual date as possible as to when the track opened in 1897.
