The Niagara Region is expanding its blue box program to include more types of plastic.

The Region will now accept number 3 and number 7 plastic containers and packaging.

The expansion means all numbered plastics will now be accepted for recycling.

If you're not sure what is or isn't recyclable the Region has a rule ....if it's not a container or it's not plastic packaging, it means it is not accepted for recycling.
