A 19 year old from France is facing charges after a crash in West Lincoln Friday night.

Police say a 26 year old Stoney Creek man was riding a motorcycle on Regional 20 Road, just East of South Grimsby Road 20 at 7:30p when he was hit by a pickup truck.

Investigators believe both vehicles were travelling west when the truck bumped into the bike throwing the man riding the motorcycle from his bike, landing on the South shoulder of the roadway.

He was taken by ambulance to Hamilton General Hospital for treatment, and was reported to have suffered minor injuries.

The 19 year old driver of the truck, Baptiste Dumoulin of LeBourg-France, was charged with Careless Driving, and Drive Motor Vehicle- No Licence.

The motorcycle received extensive damage.
