A Welland woman is in trouble for allegedly lying under oath in court.

Thirty three year old Jody Thibeault was arrested at her home on Scholfield Avenue South in the Rose City earlier this week.

Police say she was a witness in a criminal trial held on June 5th in Welland and lied while testifying.

Thibeault has been charged with one count of perjury and was held pending a bail hearing.
