A 21 year old female cyclist is in critical condition at Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto.

The Port Colborne female was riding her bike at around six o' clock in the evening on Wednesday June 20th when she entered a roadway coming out of her Main Street West apartment driveway heading eastbound.

At the same time, a 35 year old Port Colborne man was driving his Pontiac Sunfire westbound on Main Street West when the two collided head on.

The force of the collision threw the girl off her bike on to the windshield of the car falling to the road.

The driver of the Pontiac and his two passengers were not hurt.

The name of the cyclist has not been released.

Police continue their investigation and are asking for any witnesses to step forward.
