St. Catharines rockers Alexisonfire are getting back together, sort of.

The band split suddenly last summer after playing together for more than a decade.  At the time, co-frontman Dallas Green said the band was "killing him" & interfering with his solo project, City & Colour.

Now, Alexionsfire is ready to properly say goodbye to their fans.  Green told Spinner last week the band is working on some farewell shows.

Guitarist Wade MacNeil confirmed the news on twitter Friday, tweeting "Seems like the cats out of the bag. Alexisonfire will do one final tour".  MacNeil adds the band is "working on" dates in Canada & the US.

Alexisonfire's last show was in the city where it all began.  They played St. Catharines' CAW Hall in December 2010.
