Police confirm man found dead in King's Bridge Park was murdered

Police in Niagara Falls have now confirmed that a man found in King's Bridge park in April was murdered.
The body of 21-year-old Sathiyaraj Mahendran from Toronto was found Saturday April 21st.
After the discovery, King's Bridge Park was closed for several days while forensic investigators searched for evidence.
Since the discovery of the body, the Major Crime Unit has been conducting the investigation.
The death was initially classified as suspicious.
Detective Sergeant Jamie Munro of the Major Crime Unit has now confirmed Manhendran was the victim of a homicide.
The cause of death is not being released at this time.
Anyone who may have seen a suspicious vehicle, suspicious persons or any usually activity in King’s Bridge Park on the morning of Saturday, April 21, 2012 is asked to contact the Niagara Regional Police Major Crime Unit at extension 4200 or the Major Crime Unit Tip Line at extension 4468.
