The union representing faculty at Niagara College says school will go ahead as scheduled next week.
OPSEU says they have reached a tentative agreement with the college.
College Faculty accepted the offer after the employer agreed to remove all of their proposals and concessions from the table.
They have also accepted a wage freeze in order to improve job security for partial-load faculty and have a contract in place before the start of the school year.
Sherri Rosen President of OPSEU Local 242 says she is hopeful faculty will ratify this deal.
Pending ratification, the new College Faculty contract is for two years, from September 1, 2012 to August 31, 2014.
