Budget projections for Ontario's air ambulance to run next year have surfaced, but it isn't clear how relevant they are.
The spending plan is dated February 2011, before the Ornge scandal broke & before the Auditor General delivered a report on the matter. It shows the air ambulance provider running a $14.5-million dollar deficit
Progressive Conservative MPP Frank Klees says it shows Ornge was expected to pay $20-million in 2013 on interest alone. The document also shows an expected 654% jump in maintenance costs, 3% for salaries.
Klees says the PCs will keep up delay tactics until the government forms a select committee on Ornge, or at the every least, expand the reach of the Public Accounts Committee which is already looking into the matter.
The OPP is investigating too.
