Niagara residents can now use Google Maps to plan their trips when using regional transit.

Bus routes for St. Catharines, Niagara Falls, Welland and Niagara Region transit are now included.

Riders don't have to sort through timetables anymore.

They just have to enter the date and time they hope to arrive at their destination.

The trip planner will provide multiple options while showing riders the time and number of transfers needed.

The transfer feature will be available on multiple mobile devices, support 40 languages and is compatible with screen readers for the visually impaired.

Google Maps will also provide walking directions.
