It appears the Wallenda Walk across Niagara Falls is still up in the air.
WIVB in Buffalo is reporting daredevil Nik Wallenda and his team has yet to sign an agreement with New York State parks. As a result the parks has yet to issue permits to Wallenda for the June 15 walk. It says three permit drafts have been submitted to Wallenda's team to be signed - but none have been returned says state park officials.
The permits don't come cheap. It'll cost more than $200,000 for the proper permits.
Wallenda launched a much publicized fundriasing campaign last to help come up with the cash he needs to make his dream come true.
To date, he's secured about $6,000.
CKTB News has spoken with Wallenda's manager, Winston Simone. When asked if Wallenda will still do the walk on June 15, he responded, "there is no discussion here and that there is a 100 % chance the walk will happen. "It's like asking if the sun will come out tomorrow. It is not a discussion."
