A new treatment facility will soon arrive in Niagara to help those suffering through mental health problems.

Pathstone Mental Health has an offer to purchase property to build a new mental health treatment centre.

The new building will be located at the corner of Fourth Avenue and Third Street in St. Catharines.

CEO for Pathstone Mental Health Ellis Katsof says the new building will compliment six program sites that already exist in the region.

Katsof says it will be a centralized location for specialized programs with much needed increased space.

The Foundation is now working on the fundraising portion of the project which is expected to last for the next 18 months.

Pathstone Mental Health is the regional provider of mental health services which assisted close to seven thousand children, youth, and their families last year.
