A man is dead following a tree trimming accident in St. Catharines.

Emergency Services were called to a home in the city's south end after a 30-year-old man injured himself while trimming a tree. Attempts were made to revive the man but he died of the injuries.

The Regional Coroner's office is investigating. 

The name of the victim is not being released at the request of the family.
