Niagara Regional Police are expanding the search for evidence, possible body parts, regarding the female torso found in the Niagara River last week.
The NRP's Marine Unit will be searching the water, while officers on foot will search the area around the water's edge of the Niagara River from Chippewa to Fort Erie.
Police say in a media release that a tip is not responsible for expanding the search.
They simply want to find evidence in order to identify the victim.
On Tuesday afternoon, cops from Canada and New York State released a little more information on the victim.
They say she is a white woman between the age of 31 and 55.
She had two C-Sections, her tubes tied and the the hole on her belly button ring was closed.
Authorities on both sides are asking for your help to identify her.
Inspector with Niagara Regional Police Jim McCaffery says it is important for you to check on female family members, friends or co-workers you haven't heard from in a while.
New York State Captain Steven Nigerelli says they are looking at missing person case files for all of New York state with the possibility of expanding to other states if necessary.
