Canada and the U-S will be signing a new Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement today.
   

Environment Minister Peter Kent will be in Washington today to sign the deal with U-S Environmental Protection Agency Administrator
Lisa Jackson.

U-S officials say Kent and Jackson will hold a short press conference following the afternoon signing ceremony at the Canadian
Embassy.

Kent is to announce the deal in Toronto this morning before heading to Washington for the signing.
