Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Niagara due to today's heavy rain.

EC says we can expect significant rainfall after a deepening low pressure system tracked it's way into the region.

The rain is expected to come to an end later this afternoon.

15 to 25 mm is in the forecast, along with the chance of thunderstorms.
