Canada is rolling our the red carpet today preparing for the arrival of Prince Edward and his wife Sophie.

The two are due to arrive in Ottawa for the start of a seven day visit.

Prince Edward will stop at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum in
Hamilton Saturday as part of the 150th anniversary celebrations of the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry.

The same day, Sophie will present regimental colours to the Lincoln and
Welland Regiment at Queenston Heights in the morning.

In the afternoon, she will officially open Niagara College’s Canadian Food and Wine
Institute Research Centre at the Niagara-on-the-Lake campus.
