Two night road safety blitz in Niagara

Police in Niagara have wrapped up a two night road safety campaign.
Over the course of the two night campaign police laid 53 charges for a variety of driving and equipment infractions.
They also arrested one driver for impaired and issued two three day suspensions for driving with a blood alcohol level over 50 mg.
In addition, two St. Catharines men are facing charges of flight from police.
The pair attempted to elude a RIDE spot check while riding in a stolen car.
After a brief foot chase, police managed to catch one of the suspects.
A warrant has been issued for the arrest of the second male.
