A parade, a gun salute and War of 1812 re-enactors are planned Saturday at Queenston Heights in Niagara-on-the-Lake.

The parade is happening on the battlefield of Queenston Heights where the Lincoln Militia fought with General Brock in the War of
1812.

In the afternoon, there will be a re-enactment of the battle of Queenston Heights.

The re-enactment is to be followed by a ceremony at the base of the monument to commemorate those who died during the war.
