Pre-season play is over for the Niagara IceDogs and the home opener is just days away.

The IceDogs used a strong finish to close out the preseason with a 2-nothing win over the Sudbury Wolves in St. Catharines on Saturday night.

With the win the IceDogs finish the exhibition schedule with a 4-1 record.

With the preseason now finished, the IceDogs shift their attention to their 2012/13 home opener this coming Thursday, September 20th at 7pm when the IceDogs host 2012 OHL number one pick Connor McDavid and the Erie Otters.

The game will be a special one for the IceDogs and their fans as the IceDogs will unveil their 2012 Central Division and Eastern Conference championship banners in a pregame ceremony.
