Terry Fox's dream alive in Niagara

Today marks the Terry Fox Run, a day to outrun cancer and help make Terry's dream come true.
The St.Catharines run is being held in Port Dalhouise. Registration starts at the Legion at 9am.
The Niagara-on-the-Lake Terry Fox run will be held at Simcoe Park. Registration starts at 9am.
In Niagara Falls, it will be held at the Oakes Park Running Track at Morrison and Stanley with registration starting at 9:30am.
In Thorold registration starts at 9am at Thorold Secondary School.

What makes the run unique is that there is no minimum donation or entry fee to take part.
Terry's request was that every Canadian donate just one dollar towards the run to fund cancer research.
Participants can run, walk, bike or roller-blade on local courses as part of the 32nd annual event.
Fox -- who launched his Marathon of Hope run after losing a leg to cancer -- died in 1981 after getting about half way across the country.
