It's back to normal on the QEW after two spectacular accidents in Niagara Falls.
A dump truck's elevated box struck the Lundys Lane overpass on the QEW causing police to close a section of the Fort Erie bound highway for the day.
About an hour after the first accident, two transports were involved in a chain reaction crash near the Thorold Stone Road cutoff.
One of the trucks dumped its load of metal shavings and metal dust, covering a wide area in a brown soot like material.
A number of OPP officers had to be taken to hospital to be decontaminated as a precaution.
Fortuantely the debris turned out to be non hazardous.
One of the truck drivers was airlfited to hospital with life threatening injuries.
