The Niagara IceDogs play their first road game of the 2012-2013 campaign tonight in Brampton.

Last night the IceDogs opened their season, capping off a banner raising evening with a 4-2 victory over the Erie Otters.
Thorold's Anthony DiFruscia's had the game winner, his first OHL goal, while Joel Wigle, Steven Shipley on the powerplay, and David Sysala also replied for Niagara.
Connor Crisp with the man-advantage, and Nick Betz replied for Erie who were outshot 30-29 overall.
Former Otter Chris Festarini made 27 saves in the win. Oscar Dansk, in his Ontario Hockey League debut, turned aside 26 shots in the loss.
OHL 2012 first overall pick Connor McDavid was held off the scoresheet in his debut.
The 15-year old was granted execptional status to play in the league this season.
The IceDogs raised their Central Division Champion, and Eastern Conference Championship banners to the rafters before the contest.
