Two arrests have been made in connection with a trio of weekend robberies in St. Catharines, thanks in part to the city's new downtown surveillance cameras.

Six suspects involved in three separate robberies early Saturday morning were caught on camera confronting, violently attacking and robbing  random victims near the bus terminal.

Police say with the help of the media and members of the public, they have arrested a 22 year old man and a 16 year old male both from St. Catharines.

They have also identified a female suspect.

Police expect to lay further charges.
