A DSBN watchdog revealing what the future could hold for both West Park and Kernahan schools in St. Catharines.

Paolo Miele attended a program and planning  committee meeting last night at the board. 

He says  staff revealed plans to partner with Brock University to turn West Park into the DSBN Academy, currently at a temporary location in Welland.

He says Kernahan would be turned into school support services, currently housed in Niagara on the Lake.

Miele says  the board will meet with Brock University next month to discuss the plan.

He adds the board doesn't want to sell either property even though both schools are on the chopping block.

Miele is critical of the process saying parents who have been fighting to save West Park and Kernahan should have been told after the accomodations review what was in store for the schools in the long term.
