A Beamsville man will appear in court today on drug-related charges after police uprooted a suspected marijuana growing operation.

Police searched a Beamsville residence yesterday on Thirty Road North and seized more than $200,000 worth of pot and about $20,000 worth of growing equipment.

Police say a man in the home was arrested without incident.
   
Charges against 20-year-old Kyle Daniel Johnson include production of a controlled substance and possession for the purpose of trafficking.
