A Nova Scotia judge zings theft suspect
A Nova Scotia judge squeezed in some comical digs while sentencing a Cape Breton man yesterday for stealing high-end skin-care products.
Melvin Ferguson of Sydney was sentenced to eight months in jail after pleading guilty to nine theft charges.
Prosecutors say he stole two-thousand dollars worth of Oil of Olay products from a local shop.
Judge Peter Ross said he didn't know what Oil of Olay was doing for Ferguson's skin, but that his record is certainly ``blemished'' now with his numerous criminal convictions.
