A 19 year old St. Catharines man accused of murder made a breif court appearance yesterday.

Cassell Farnsworth is charged with first degree murder in the death of 19 year old Maddie Hood.

He will be back in court November 7th for a pre trial hearing.

Farnsworth is also facing a charge of arson, the victims body was found July 7th after a fire broke out in her basement apartment on East Hampton Road.

The accused also faces eight other charges of child pornography and luring, not related to the murder charge.
