A rash of car break in's in St Catharines is under investigation.

Police say they received more than 15 complaints of damaged vehicles between Monday and Wednesday of this week.

In each of the incidents, someone either took advantage of unlocked vehicles or smashed windows to gain entry, stealing loose change and other valuables.

Most of the vehicles were parked in the same underground parking garage.

Police are again reminding car owners never keep any items of value in their vehicles and if they do, keep them in the trunk out of sight.
