Gillian's Place in St. Catharines wants to know if you're man enough.

The women's shelter is asking men to strap on a pair of high heels and walk a mile in her shoes.

The 7th Annual Walk a Mile in HER Shoes: the men’s march to end violence against women kicks off today at noon at the Pen Centre.

Gillian's Place Fundraising Coordinator Joanne Doyley says last year 185 walkers took part helping to raise 83 thousand dollars.

This years goal is to have over 200 walkers and raise over 100 thousand.

Right now they have 160 registered walkers but expect more to join in today.

Registration begins at 10am at the Sears Court and walkers can either bring their own shoes or wear a pair provided by Gillians Place.
