Lance Armstrong is stepping down as chair of his Livestrong cancer-fighting charity in a bid to limit the damage from the doping scandal.
The announcement from the former champion cyclist comes one week after the U-S Anti-Doping Agency released a massive report detailing allegations of widespread performance-enhancing drug use by Armstrong and his teams.
The Lance Armstrong Foundation, commonly known as Livestrong, was founded in 1997.
It has raised 500-million dollars to support cancer patients.
