A 14 year old teen  is in critical condition in hospital after colliding with a car last night in Pelham while riding a skateboard.

It happened on Foss Road, when a car driven by a 34 year old Welland woman with a four year old in the vehicle, collided with one of two teens skateboarding on the roadway.

The 14 year old was airlifted to Hamilton hospital with life threatening injuries.

No one else was injured in the accident.

Police say the collision remains under investigation.
