Ontario's Tory leader says he has a lot of time to travel the province with the legislature out of commission until further notice.

Tim Hudak used his time off to stop by the 610 CKTB studios to speak with our Tom McConnell.

Hudak discussing Dalton McGuinty's decision to resign and prorogue the legislature until the Liberal Party holds a leadership vote to find his replacement.

He says he understands when the fire goes out for the job, its time to step down .

But he can not comprehend the decision to prorogue, noting with the current economic challenges, now is one of the worst times to turn the switch off on the legislature.

Hudak calling it not only unprecedented but irresponsible. 

He also urges Niagara residents to let their Liberal members of the legislature know how they feel about the decision.
